Just a vent. I’m struggling right now. It’s not the usual holiday stuff.

The divorce came out of nowhere in September and she dropped it on me while I’m unemployed (over 8 months of non-stop applying). The job market sucks and being this close to the holidays is always a tough time to find work. I have been successful in my career…just down on my luck right now.

She was never a good stepmom to my daughter, and has gotten more malicious since she filed. So, my daughter is at her mother’s house and I see her when I can and call her everyday.

After she filed, I started discovering financial improprieties and learned of her infidelity. She doesn’t know I have learned about it, and having to sit on that while my attorney does their thing has been difficult…especially knowing she’s spending time with another man when she had so little time for me the last few months before she filed (So many things were clearly signs in retrospect).

So, here I am…a dude that has really tried to do everything “right” and above board in my life; unemployed, working through a second divorce, trapped in my basement in a house full of people that suddenly hate me, separated from my kid, and running out of options and ideas.

I’m just…exhausted and running out of hope. I know this will pass, but, Jesus, I’m struggling right now. Thanks for letting me get that out.
