We have to file jointly, so should owed income tax be split 50-50 or based on income? There is a large dispartity between my income and my STBX. Or just pay it out of joint funds?

The reason for asking is to resolve the tax liability. I get paid on a 1099 and she has W2 withholding. The tax liability will be all mine.
