Anyone here a recipient of a discretionary trust fund from their parents? My spouse will get plenty of money from her family. I’m wondering if their is a way to stop the trust from being factored in to child support payments that she will burn through anyways. My family is probably just going to stop giving trust money to me yearly. With money she was gifted (separate and not commingled like my dumb family did) and the 800k she will get from splitting up marital assets she will be doing way better than me for the next 10 years. It will take me a decade to rebuild if not more.
