Gave into 50/50 custody to get my cheating ex wife to agree to move out of the house as we go through divorce process. We were planning on moving 27 miles from here and building our dream home before all this went to hell. I hate living in this urban area and would like to eventually build on the lot I will own that’s in a more suburban/rural area (even if it is 5 years from now, I’ll get the lot in divorce). The lot is right next door to my parents and my kids cousins are down the street. I doubt she will agree to move out of this area and enroll kids in new school closer to where we were going to build as she wants our house in divorce and wants to stay here.

My question is, how far is too far for 50/50 custody from the moms house and from our kids current school?
