My wife went to rehab. Had been battling alcoholism for 6 years and I stuck with her (been married 10). In this time she had 3 affairs (that I found out about, there are probably more) and when she was in rehab she decided to fall in love, have sex with, and plan a future with some 27 year old alcoholic in her program (she’s 35 and I’m 42). She also told me she no longer feels “that way” about me and wants a divorce. When I found this out a few weeks ago I reluctantly filed. We both have attorneys and we met with a mediator today. She still blames our marriage etc… for her drinking and said she couldn’t stay in this marriage and stay sober. She is still living in the house and refuses to leave until we come to a custody agreement. My attorney and I originally filed for 100% custody with visitation. I want her out of here. I told mediator today that I’m open to 70/30 or 60/40 with her working towards 50/50 over the next 1-2 years if she agrees to do soberlink and moves out. The wife initially refused but the mediator convinced her to do soberlink and she is. She said I “want her in the house which is bull crap. Why would I want to share a roof with this person? I’m waiting for our attorneys to talk so my attorney can tell hers that I want her out yesterday. As of now she plans on staying. I have a temporary custody order hearing on the 15th where we will try to boot her out.

She’s pissed at me because I’m “making her” do soberlink. So now she went from the stance of what’s mine is mine and yours is yours pre marriage to going for 50/50 on everything. She just sold a condo that was gifted to her before we were married ( I was stupid enough to never request that I be added to the title) and had that 400k moved to a trust with her attorney which I can’t touch. I have two duplexes, one that was paid off from before our marriage that she is going after now with all of the other assets (300k in savings and two other rental properties + our brand new home) that she is going after. This is all bought with family money from my side that my parents were decent enough to write out a check with both of our names from my trust fund each year for the 10 years we were married. Can’t believe how evil this woman is. She leaves the house almost every night to talk with her rehab boyfriend while I stay with the kids. I can’t wait to get her out of my life. She’s a strikingly beautiful woman on the outside but man is she rotten to the core on the inside. Her family has a ton of property that she will inherit and she will be fine financially. She’s just being greedy now.
