I do 50/50 week on week off. I drop them off at daycare Monday AM, she picks them up for the week and drops them off the following Monday AM then I pick them up PM for the week.

This way we never see each other which I’m totally fine with. Personally I think doing in person drop offs only leads to conflict - if you’re 30 seconds late expect to hear about etc.

Something convenient around your work schedule where you don’t have to do pickups and dropoffs with the ex. So picking up kids at daycare or school.

I made my schedule around my work and golf. It works gloriously.

We switched to week on, week off after doing a 2-2-3 rotation. It's been really good in the fact that I omly have to deal with her not picking up the kids' stuff once every 2 weeks, and the kids seem more at ease and relaxed. Its been good.

At 4yo, the 2255 is probably best for the kid. I would recommend that, but the 7 on 7 off is probably best to avoid the high conflict situations if transitions are an issue.

It helps when you transition at school/daycare (one parent drops off the other picks up) as it avoids all contact.

The kid will adjust (quicker and better) than either of you will. Week on/Week off, with the switch day being a Wednesday is arguably the best, hands down, for high conflict.

It also avoids things like long weekends/School PE days/etc.

Just make sure your order has VERY clear language regarding times for pickup/drop-off in the event of cancelation of class
