What to ask in a discovery request?

What are the issues? I likely have suggestions but need to know what issues are at play. Sounds like purely financial. Premarital assets at issue? Alimony? Asset valuation? Earnings capacity? Etc.

Your kids are adults, no need to ask for the text between her and the AP at this point... What you need to focus on is the cost of the affair in terms of her spending money. Did she buy them gifts? Spent cash on hotels? things like that... You can ask for the cost of the affair to be paid back to you from the asests if you have them.

For divorce cases there are usually standard discovery forms:

Financial Statements (and attachments)
Interrogatories
Request for Production (documents)

This is typically where you start. If you're in a no-fault state, there won't be much tolerance for digging deep into affair-related matters absent a showing that significant marital funds/assets were spent (dissipated) on the paramour - otherwise known as marital waste in some places.

If you read the divorce statute for your state, there will probably be something on this as well as forms on the court's website.

All this assumes you're pro se - if you have a lawyer - they should guide you.
