US? I think it will depend on how your incomes compare and how the custody works. Usually it’s the breadwinners responsibility though

All depends, was she a stay at home mom for many years and you provided for her? Judge might make you carry for a year while she hunts for employment.

In MOST cases, non-custodial parent covers medical costs for premiums, and then the parents cover 50/50 on all uninsured costs.

I can’t see the judge making you carry her on your insurance though unless y’all were married for ten years or more and you provided it because her job didn’t.

Just speculation though.
