I saw a female shopper wearing a shirt with this slogan when I was out grocery shopping earlier, and it also had some graphic on it I wasn't able to make out as she was walking right by me. I have no words for this. I mean really, destroy boys? How is that not a blatant incitement to hate and violence against not just men but also boys? It's so enraging to see this kind of hatred against men and boys is not only apparently accepted in society but even outright encouraged. Destroy boys, that sounds like calling for the genocide of boys, which is a beyond despicable statement, every bit as much as "destroy girls" would be. It's so worrying to see boys exposed to kind of hatred against them, seeing how it's perfectly fine for them to be not only be hated but even have harm wished upon them like this. Just imagine the uproar and outrage there'd be over a shirt that said "Destroy Girls." This is even worse than the shirt that said the "Boys are stupid, throw rocks at them." Enough is enough with the male-bashing already.

Next time you see it, take a clear, identifying photo or two and report it to the local police as a terrorist. You might get nowhere ( in which case, try the local media) but the more we make these reports and complaints, the more likely that some action will be taken.

Edit: I don't care if it is a band name. Would 'destroy Ukrainians' be acceptable, or 'destroy women'? I don't think it is should be and nor is 'destroy men'. It's disturbing, misandric and since many more people have heard of men than have heard of some sorry excuse for artists, the message is more likely to be read for what it says, than associated with some charming and male-positive music

In my book destroy men, destroy women, etc. are all equally harmful and disturbing, and none should be acceptable at all.

I agree.
Is there any clothing with destroy women on it? I have seen clothing with messages of death to men, and with messages of death to children but never such a thing about women.

There's the "Boys are stupid, throw rocks at them" shirt which while not as violent is still absolutely wrong. I can only imagine the outcry there'd be over a similar shirt that had girls on it. It disgusts me how misandry and ill-wishing men and boys is not only socially acceptable but even outright encouraged in some instances. It needs to be recognized and condemned as much as when it's against women.

Probably was a t-shirt for the punk band Destroy Boys, whose name I think wasn't intended as misandrist sentiment (though it does come across that way). I think it's meant like "the" Destroy Boys

I wasn't aware that was the name of a band. The name definitely comes off as highly misandrist for sure and can very easily be misinterpreted that way.

"Destroy Boys" is quite in line with punk band names. Certainly no worse than many other hard rock band names. Infant Annihiliator? Goatwhore? Dying Infants? Anal Cunt? Destroy Girls would certainly be rejected, but for lack of originality, not due to misogyny. Although the concern is understandable if you aren't a fan of edgier music.

BTW, the band itself isn't misandrist at all. However, the lead did get in trouble for abuse, and that was about the only dirt I could find about them.

Yes but such a name is one that can easily be misinterpreated and it shows the double standards when a band named "Destroy Girls" would take flack for having such a name, and rightfully so. I think we can agree misandry is definitely out of hand and much more needs to be done to acknowledge and condemn it as much as misogyny.

It's bad enough men get hated on so much and even ill-wished (like with the #KillAllMen hashtag), but to wish this sort of thing on boys? That's a whole new level of screwed up and unacceptable, not to mention downright evil. The sad and scary thing is there's no doubt rabid misandrists who feel exactly this way.
