Not being sexually compatible is definitely a reason to split up. Well, it would be better to break up before getting married of course.

However, the double standard you speak of definitely exists. "A woman doesn't owe you sex" vs "everyone hss needs and if your partner doesn't fulfill them, look for someone who does". It plays into the notion that sex is not something both parties consent to, but every time a couple has sex, it's actually the woman doing the man a favor. You'll see this in examples like this, where if a man is denied sex, you will often times see it being blamed on him, like "bet he's cheating", "noone wants to fuck you if you just wanna get off, it's your fault and you gotta seduce her", etc. I have mever seen anyone suggest to a woman with a dead bedroom that she needs to be better at seducing her husband. No, usually they also blame the man and for example suggest he gets his testosterone levels checked, because denying sex as a woman is fine, but if you do it as a man, there's probably something wrong with you.

i hate the notion of "you don't owe your partner [x]" because then, what's even the point of having a partner? the west is too individualist and that does it no favor when it comes to combatting reactionism. no wonder people are getting tired and seeking some sorta "good old days"
