How would you prefer someone to go about expressing their interest to you? I would gradually build to that level over the course of my interactions with a girl. “Treat others how you would like to be treated” can sound corny sometimes, but it’s honestly a good starting point

Depends on what you want tbh. If you want a relationship then no because the push pull crap just becomes annoying, if you want a hookup then maybe just because ppl typically love mystery which could give you an advantage.

That advice is the right thing for the wrong reasons

Yes, women are typically smothered by men constantly trying to use them for sex. It's exhausting constantly dealing with attempts to get into your pants, to say nothing of endless harassment, plus the fear that if you don't let them down easy enough they'll blow up at you, but if you do it too easily they might start stalking you. Someone hanging on their every word making them the center of attention and the world is just more of the same, and it gets tiresome.

What people actually usually want, especially women, is a partner - an equal with whom they can grow, supporting each other and pushing each other to be their best selves. Not a slave catering to their every whim, or someone ordering them around, but someone that shows both mutual respect and the independence to not need constant support.

The hot/cold thing however is emotional abuse, pure and simple. It's a tactic to be erratic, to keep the other person guessing and out of control, to shower them with love and then take it away without warning or reason, a relationship built on caprice and uncertainty. It's manipulative and wrong; don't do it.

It's good not to be needy, to not constantly be around the other person. Healthy people have their own identities independent of others and need time to pursue interests that aren't shared. That just means you shouldn't require spending every waking moment together, not that you should do that push/pull crap.

That's not exclusively redpill though. It's a pretty generic dating advice and works on both men and women (of course not everyone, especially if they're over 25-30) No one likes needy pushovers, makes people think you have no self respect

I mean, not being needy is good. Women will eventually be able to tell if you’re faking it, though. They key is to ACTUALLY have friends and hobbies and interests that make you feel like your needs are being fulfilled elsewhere.

“Hot and cold” treatment is confusing, and usually if a woman isn’t that interested in you or has other good options and you confuse her, she’ll lose interest. So that’s a very bad strategy (as well as being emotionally abusive when it does work, as others have mentioned).

If a woman gets a lot of interest but is still single, it’s safe to say she either doesn’t want to date/hookup (leave her alone!) or she hasn’t found what she’s looking for yet. You need to distinguish yourself from her other options. Women usually date for quality over quantity. Work on your listening skills, develop interesting hobbies, get out and around in your neighborhood or community, and treat her with respect and consideration when you two do talk. Maybe you’ll catch her interest—if not, you’ll find plenty of other attractive options.

If you are overly interested women/me might think you don't have that many options. Which in turn makes me wonder why. Are you weird, are you creepy. Is there a flaw about you that I haven't seen. I think if you come across as clingy overly interested a woman might say I am an average woman, why is he "over reacting."

I wouldn't engage in "push and pull" but I would try to play it cool and not come across as desperate.
