Probably because there are some select male celebrities that aged relatively well (George Clooney, Tom Cruise, Will Smith) and typical guys in the manosphere and RPers love acting like those men represent the majority. I've frequently seen memes of RP men using those celebs as examples of "men don't have a wall" lololol

That's like saying Sofia Vergara, JLo, or Gwen Stefani represent the average woman hovering around 50 years old.

The whole thing that men age like wine and women age like milk is blown way out of proportion, and the way red pill puts it, it's just a plain lie. Yeah, i guess many women do value certain qualities in men that come with age. But simply put, this dumb idea that men in their 30s or 40s are at their prime and by comparison women at their prime will gravitate towards them is nothing but a massive COPE. A mere revenge fantasy to keep the hopes of the 20 year old virgin TRPer alive about "this one day that will come when i'll be 30 and all the bitches that rejected me at highschool will be old hags and all the cuties will line up to suck it", and the 40 year old recently divorcee confidence boost to get back in the market and fall for the TRP lure.

All the TRPers can come up with all the theories about how women lose their looks and men age like wine. Even if there's some truth to it, i'm sorry but chances are that these guys will not be "slaying pussy" in their 30s, and most likely not "early 20s cuties" pussy, because things just don't work that way. The reality pill is a tough one to swallow, i guess.

Hollywood propaganda and delusion. Media often portrays old men with young wives as a normal everyday couple, warping the perception of how men and women should look.

Then there’s the delusion that they’re gonna be the rich buisness man and their crush in highschool who fucked stupid jock Chad is gonna want them, and they’ll reject them. It’s a power play fantasy, they’re just late bloomers they say, they’ll time will come they say. It’s a major cope.

Average gap in relationships is three years, people like to keep themselves in their age group, and it’s no secret people see old men dating people who could be their kids age as massive creeps, not alpha males.

It's premised on the notion that men's primary value is in their resources, status, and power, and women's primary value is in her beauty and fertility. Men's pique earning years are their mid to late 40s, which if we accept that a man's main value is based on resources and status, then one could argue men are most attractive at that age. But evidence doesn't support this.

This hypothesis fails, however, because the amount of wealth that is required to attract younger women is astronomical and unattainable to 99% of men.

Additionally, women's patterns of attraction are pretty consistent throughout their life based on the best data available. Which is to say that women are on average, most attracted to men 2 years her senior. There are some weird points of variation in the 40s where women report greater attraction to men about 5 years younger, but for the majority of the life-course women are most attracted to men who approximate her current age give or take 3 years.

So to attract some young hot woman in her pique fertility years is going to be absolutely unattainable to 99% of men, even during that point where they hit their own personal pique attractiveness.

To look at some data on median income by age (from 2021 in the US):

Age 25: $34,371.00

Age 35: $50,001.00

Age 45: $54,001.00

Age 55: $52,000.00

Age 65: $54,299.00

Now looking at this data, I think men need to ask themselves if they really think they'll be a hot commodity and pique at the ripe age of 45? Is 54k/year the abundance of wealth that is going to attract women who would otherwise not be interested in you? Probably not.

RP gets this notion based on the evolutionary psych hypothesis that the men with the most power and resources were most attractive to women because women knew they could rely on this man to keep her safe, provide resources to her and a child, and be a provider. But we don't live in a time period where this is enough to attract a woman.

I think it's reasonable to assume that everyone would prefer a partner who is financially stable rather than a partner who is unemployed and in debt. But RP has this fiction that with enough money and status, women are going to regress to their prehistoric rationale and just gravitate towards the dude who is a millionaire, without considering all of the other important factors in mating/dating.

And to briefly share an anecdote, I was propositioned at the age of 20 by a man who used to attend and speak at the same academic conferences that I attended. He was a respected neuroscientist who was the CEO of an extremely successful company that he created in his 20s and built from the ground up. Basically this dude was exceptionally wealthy, very high status, extremely intelligent etc. We would talk for a couple hours every time I'd see him at an academic event, and one time he asked me out for lunch. I went. During our lunch, he asked me if I would be interested in dating him for money and basically being a sugar baby. He offered me an allowance of 5k/week and would happily give me more if I asked. I was stunned, but also did not find him attractive so I turned down his offer. He was probably in his mid 40s and was in decent shape and had a handsome face, but I was just not at all attracted to him because he was 20 years older than me. So I declined. After our lunch he gave me a book that we were talking about. When I took it home it and opened it, there was an envelope with a hand written note and $1000... he was trying to buy my interest which I found a little sad.

I stopped talking to him when I'd see him at conferences because I found the whole thing very off-putting and I wasn't attracted to 40 year old men- despite this guy being extremely wealthy and "high-status", that wasn't enough to entice me into a relationship with him.

I share that anecdote because you're right, older men who hit on women decades their junior are creepy. Even when they are classy, respectable, and pretty physically attractive. His wealth was not enough to entice me- I found it really manipulative, especially because he knew I was a broke college student who could definitely use the money.

As another comment said, there are some uncomfortable truths out there but the problem is rp doesn't actually confront them all. One of those is sex and the hard truth that men lose function over time... Women do not. Women may often times lose lubrication but not sexual function.

So hard reality is that men sexually peak while women reproductively peak. The problem is we don't live in a world that doesn't just have sex for procreation.

One can enjoy one's sexual peak, but once in your late 30s your junk starts to fail. Good luck spinning plates with rope.

Women overall take better care of themselves. Older or younger. It's just that men are allowed to age, and women are not. Old age on a woman is automatically ugly - it doesn't matter if you are beautiful or better looking than men at that age. It's how society works.

I'm 42 and think I'm probably a more ethical person and certainly more together and confident than I was in my 20s. As for looks, I've more or less held it together, still in pretty decent shape appearance-wise, though I FEEL older for sure.

But like... many women can say this about themselves too. Sexist old dudes really like this idea of men maturing and women hitting "the wall" though because they convince themselves they're going to get all of these hot young babes. Lots of men and women "age well" and well, some don't and that's fine too.

Also, the idea of being old and wanting young women is weird to me. No offense to young women, but I just feel like I'm in a whole different world now and the world of 20 year olds is not interesting to me at all. 40 year old women are MUCH more my speed.

Women are attracted to power, intelligence, and confidence to a high degree.

These attributes tend to increase with a man's age, whereas the things men find attractive in women typically do not.

That being said, if you let yourself go, you'll be pretty much invisible regardless.

I also wouldn't go as far as "chick magnet".

I think by 40, you're pretty much guaranteed to leave that category.

Its that you work on your purpose, be financially successful at that age. Its a path of progression, Some people start this later in life. The ideal outcome is that you work your butt off in your 20s and 30s, devoting your life in your career and putting women on the backburner. You also focus on your health and appearance to the best of your ability. Don't focus too much on girls or do anything serious with them until you are at a stage where you are in a better bargaining position with younger women. I mean, I always did that, but I was monogamous, and my priorities were in conflict with each other because I married young.

If you work out, take care of yourself and keep your head above your shoulders you’ll age quite well - it obviously isn’t a given that you’ll be more attractive but guys who work on themselves tend to fare better in their 40s than they do in their 20s

For a reason the arguments they give are pure cherry picking, they select an image of a celebrity over 50 who looks young for her age (her favorite example is Tom Cruise) and a female celebrity over 50 who does look that way age, that's the level of his "investigations" (if you can call it that)

I rarely come across a man over the age of 30 who still looks good. There are a select few male celebrities who look fantastic for their age, but so do many female celebrities. Partially due to genetics, and also partially due to them being able to afford a wealth of cosmetic procedures in order to retain their youthful appearance.

Yes, most women DO peak in appearance in their 20s. But so do men. Beauty fades for everyone as we age. Our skin wrinkles, we lose muscle mass, we gain weight, etc.

The interesting thing is when you bring up Elizabeth Hurley, Jennifer Anniston, Elle McPherson, Sofia Vergara, Salma Hayek, etc (to the Redpill community) as examples of how women don't age as fast as they say....they immediately shoot you down or make comments like "Oh, those women have had plastic surgery" or "Women in their 20's are much hotter". Really? Find me a 20 year old that is hotter than a 50 year old Salma Hayek!

I don't know how old you are....but 50 is not old for a woman OR man (looks wise). I'm turning 46 in a week and people are literally shocked when I tell them my age. They think I'm 35. At 50, you can be in perfect shape. Take care of your skin.....eat organic food....meditate...you will look great at 50.
