Women can assess status based off other traits such as verbal fluency and general competence which are both status markers. Physicality is another one. So, I agree status is important but there are different status markers. To many women the verbally competent guy who is fit and who got a masters in communication let's say has waaay more status than some non-arousing, autistic engineer or even some stuck up manager who makes a lot of money.

Yes. A 25 year old woman usually does not "truly love" a 60 year old man or vice versa. Because the value exchange isn't there. You usually "love" a person who's somewhat in your age range. It's more of an observation, not a consideration. If you're a 25 year old woman, you usually don't "love" a 60 year old man - because the value exchange isn't intact.
