First I am a woman (from the middle east living in Western Europe) and i have watched dozens and dozens of red pill videos over the past few years. I am really intrigued by its similarity to the misogyny and sexism i experienced back home where men act like prizes and to them woman are reduced to check lists. I even briefly dated someone (m42) who was a typical redpiller before i knew anything about it which got me interested in it after i broke up with him.
What i have been struggling to wrap my head around is how an older man in their forties or fifties for example convinces himself and others that he will be more attractive to a 20 something year old than her colleague or peers with whom she shares the culture of the day (whatever young people talk about and listen to), who has more energy, who although may not be too financially stable, is likely to have more genuine feelings towards her than the red pill man who sees in the checked boxes. Like how could they convince other men that when u age, lose hair, develop old age diseases, become more detached from the younger generation and their conversions (most of us will be there this is not exclusive to them) is more attractive to a 23 year old than the higher energy and maybe somewhat more emotionally innocent “Tom” who she is seeing or secretly wishes to see.
How did they convince themselves and others that red pill is a smart strategy? Forget about sexism and misogyny, it is just a stupid strategy. When u r forty marry a twenty year old so that when u r 65 she feels she missed out on life and does not want to become ur nurse yet and walks away on u and u end up alone. How is that smart? Who told them that the only thing that women think about is financial security? Women do care about security but that majorly includes emotional security too.
Maybe it is the examples around me that dispel red pill. My mom married my dad (both 23) struggled in life together and went from having nothibg to have a lot eventually. After briefly dating that forty year old who though of himself as a prize and after realising how toxic his views are, i married a younger man from my circle, my age, my interests, who gets the humour and the cultural jokes of people our age. He may not be fully financially established neither am i due to our age but that could come later in life. You know what does not? Connection! No matter how u look at it, red pill is a stupid strategy. How do they draw supporters i dont know. Ps: i typed this on my phone so sorry if there are typos. Also i am not referring to genuine couples with an age gap. I am talking about when the red piller goes shopping for a girlfriend/wife. The woman always knows she is not special and the only reason he chose her is because she ticked boxes.
