Yeah there's hope, you just have work on the part of you that feels like women don't want to talk to you.

Im gonna tell you something. A vast majority of women are just as nervous to talk to the opposite sex as men are. Everyone is afraid of rejection rather that romantically, work, friendships. It's a basic human fear.

As long as you groom yourself, (cut your hair, shape your beard, brush your teeth) you'll feel better about your looks.

When you go out, how do you carry yourself, do walk around looking mad or do try to look approachable, if you look mean most women won't approach.

You are going to make NT people uncomfortable no matter what you do, so just try communicating with them anyway.

I'm aan autistic female and my husband has cPTSD and is REALLY shy. He **might have autism, but it would be considered high functioning and isn't pursuing any diagnosis. His natural voice isn't hardly audible on the phone, when he forces himself to call someone that is. We're both awkward as fuck. We met and got to know one another as friends from nerd activities in college. Then it developed from there. He was and still is my best friend. A lot of women wait until the man makes a romantic move first, but I knew him well enough to know he was terrified of attempting, so I basically led him through the process. Not every girl will do this, and of those who will, the man has to clearly show interest. But this happens. He has become more confident in our relationship with time. We support one another during shutdowns, and when I'm overstimulated in a public place, he knows to put his hands over my ears and hug me (deep pressure is the bomb) until I can walk and talk again. We communicate in weird ways. Both NTs and NDs miscommunicate, but in different ways. Most of my friends are ND, ND-suspected, or child abuse survivors. We all have strange traits, triggers, and communication styles. The differences between us, however, are smaller than our differences with NTs.

This was kinda all over the place, but I hope it helps you get perspective on dating. Hint: ND people often can befriend and date ND people more easily.

We live in a very anti-social society/world now. When I was a kid/teenager I had tons more friends, girls included and had no problems getting dates and everything seemed to flow along way more normal than today. Even being a bit more shy I had no choice but to talk with everyone with no smartphone involved and I had basically no anxiety about it and neither did anyone else. Once social media and smartphones came around, people have become increasingly tense and more non-social in my experience. Think about how many times you're out there and people are just staring at their phones and avoiding each other? It's not normal, but it's become the new normal.

It's not entirely your fault, the world is nothing like it used to be. I think a lot of people have a hard time accepting this, but IMO it's the reality. You have to simply force yourself out there more. This pandemic shit has also messed things up more, my social skills have dropped yet again and I started watching porn a lot more again too which has made things even worse for a lot of us. Hoping to get back out there more next year.
