But I don’t think controlling your impulses is what makes you human, sounds unintentionally ableist and generally a way to not only dehumanize men but give them an excuse to why they can’t control themselves (“oh you know how boys are, can barely control themselves now, that’s just their nature yknow how girls are just better at controlling themselves than them, maybe she should’ve done something to curve his impulses if she didn’t want it to happen”)

Men are human, even the ones that can’t control themselves properly. I think it’s also important, maybe especially for other men to understand, that most men who do horrible shit to women aren’t “loosing control”, they are choosing to do it.
