pamela adlon on better things (and this show is just amazing) - there's an especially queenly moment in the last episodes of the last season. I really love this show and would like to live in it.

on girlfriends' guide to divorce, some of them are kinda pickmeisha-like, but I like how they handle the characters' development in that sense. delia in particular is pretty cool, although I didn't like the endgame they chose for her. it's also low-key rich-people p0rn (incredible houses, clothes, hair & make-up etc., I gotta admit, even though none of it is exactly my taste).

the bold type is a show that's more about younger millennials (I'm an older millennial, I suppose) and there's a lot of libfem stuff, but if you set that aside (I just roll my eyes and go with it), the female characters are developed and well-rounded, generally not pickmeishas, and I particularly like melora hardin as jacqueline carlyle. sutton (meghann fahy) is a great character as well, although she gets with an older dude. I actually think this is a pretty good show for 20 somethings to watch, they handle sensitive stuff pretty well and they showed some of the consequences of a large age gap without necessarily making the guy (or the woman) a caricature.

Might not be what you're looking for, but I like Judge Lauren Lake from Paternity Court. She takes no nonsense, draw clear lines with men and women alike when they overstep, treats people with genuine compassion, and wants the best for all the babies who come through her court room while keeping a solid awareness of the situations they are actually in. She's a woman with her feet firmly on the ground in reality, and she looks like fire while doing it.

I thought Olivia Pope from Scandal was pretty assertive. I wouldn’t say she was HV, cause sleeping with a married man and being unable to break free from a pretty toxic relationship, plus practically being a sociopath that runs over anyone who gets in her way. But assertive? Oh, yeaaah! 😂

Jessica Pearson from suits is great. Name partner at the law firm, she’s consistently confident and capable. It’s been a while since I watched, but I remember liking that her romantic subplot was with a man who respected all that about her and the drama was from the nature of their work rather than the typical chafing of a man intimidated by her being more powerful than him. I especially like her in middle seasons of the series after the show becomes more of an ensemble show so she has more airtime and before she leaves for her own spinoff. (I haven’t seen the spinoff though.)
