I've seen this a lot lately, where women end up in quasi relationships with fuckboys, where they give these trash men all the benefits of having a girlfriend without actually being the girlfriend, so no label, no public recognition of the relationship, and no commitment from the fuckboy. Fuckboys love GE Girls because they provide a semblance of stability and a steady stream of love, affection, and other benefits from a devoted woman while they continue to play the field. It's maximum reward for very little or no effort on their part. Fuckboys offer up all kinds of excuses for this behavior, saying things like "I don't want to settle down right now," or " I'm just looking for a casual thing" or "I only do open relationships" (open for him but not for you), but on the other hand they will butter a GE girl up and tell her she's the "special" one out of all the girls he sees, or that he likes her best, or that she's the one he can see himself settling down with... someday. They are good at dangling promises of commitment without ever delivering.

The trouble with fuckboys is that they can be extremely charismatic, so women often end up as the GE girl without quite realizing what they've gotten themselves into. If you're hung up on a guy who insists on the right to keep playing the field while you're the one waiting for him to come home, take a hard look at the relationship and see if there's a balance between what you're giving vs what you're receiving.
