I've always had identity issues. Always thinking that I had to fit in a specific mold for specific people for the reward of being liked. Burning off "unlikeable" parts of my being for the sake of being a people pleaser. When I reached puberty, it got worse. I was now suddenly an object of desire. I saw grown men staring at my chest while I was simply walking down the street. So, I had to please people like that, too. I eventually began to view myself as nothing but a doll. An object to be hoisted upon strings for other people's (specifically men's) enjoyment. "How high shall I jump? How hard should I fall? If I put on make-up will I be pretty enough for you? If I act shy and meek will I be good enough for you?"

I lived for others, not myself. I would empty and drain myself for the sake of others. Because if others liked me, maybe I deserved to exist. Well, ever since I found FDS, I've started to see that I am more. I'm not a doll. I am a living human being with my own heart. My own desires. My own dreams. I've started to live for myself. I deserve to live for myself. And I deserve more than I ever thought. So, thank you, FDS, for helping me figure out my worth. (Sorry if this is a bit rambly or formatted weird. It is late and I'm on mobile.)
