Gen Z sees prostitution as wholesome. Comments defending the video saying it's "consensual" and "enthusiastic" so what's the problem?

For context there are multiple comments on this video saying it's wholesome. A lot of comments making jokes or calling her iconic. The typical "sex work is work!" and justification for prostitution "everyone sells their body in late stage capitalism". And of course "you b*tches give it up for for free at least she's getting paid".

Why do teenagers have such a positive view of prostitution?

Here the running rate is $30 a bj. As an Indigenous woman living in that kind of neighborhood I’ve discovered $30 is the magic number. I get propositioned a lot. Men in cars have literally pulled up beside me to see if I’d want to “make an arrangement”. I have come a long way, I used to do that kind of interaction under the guise of libfem bs but even then….my privilege of working an actual full time job and my libfem outlook made me picky and able to set the cost. I understand now the cost could never cover the price you pay when you sell your body. It makes me sad that so many women engage on so many platforms to jump into SW.

This is so sad, depressing, and dehumanizing. A clearly desperate, possibly on drugs woman, and a man lowballing her and filming her humiliation for entertainment's sake. But it's okay, because at the end, she, being totally desensitized and probably dissociated from her body as a coping skill, makes a jokey noise along with him as he mocks her pain. It's sock and disgusting. Anyone who laughs at this is sick in the head and putrid beyond belief
