Got asked to a date tomorrow night? Should I accept?

You want to go, then yes, go, enjoy your evening! There is no problem with going to see a show that you want to see; there's no logical reason to pretend as if you are busy or don't want to go. Its not like he asked you to come over and cuddle or go dutch with him on some coffee.

Everything isn't high commitment or high expectations. Go out on the town and have fun.

I’m petty so I wouldn’t accept! Lol. At this point I don’t like ppl asking me to do shit at the last minute and making me feel like second best. I don’t know what your financial situation is or how comfortable you are doing stuff alone. But if it’s something I really want to do I’d rather do it on my own without the extra bonus of feeling like second best.

At the very least the person asking should acknowledge that their initial plans got cancelled and they realize it’s last minute but wondered if I would be interested? Don’t ask me like you’re doing me a favor - which is how most guys would approach it bc they’re always trying to do the most advantageous thing. That would just sour my evening and that’s not fun to me. Ymmv.

Tricky. Especially since you say he already has seats. It seems he already planned on going with someone particular who cancelled on him last minute but didn't want to waste his money so he invited you as backup plan.

I’d go but keep the date very short. See the show, have dinner and then leave ASAP. That way it leaves it open to him making another move to plan a date about you and not just a show + you.

There was a clip posted here a few days ago with what The Rules authors would have answered: never accept a weekend date after Wednesday.

If he suddenly gets spontaneous-out-of-the-blue tickets, well then he should of already had a date planned with you to start, the new tickets would just be an added bonus to make the already planned date better. He didn't have anything planned with you, he isn't interested enough in you to waste that time and Uber money girl!

Then again, because you're a bored and broke college student, I also see nothing wrong with accepting the invitation and keep your time spent together purely friendly, don't entertain the romantic side of it bc you're there for the show and the socialization... not romanticly for a man who is only half interested in you. This could end awful though, so it's really if you trust your strength/knowledge to handle an evening like that.

I would only accept a last minute date if we were already a couple/dated a while or I wasn’t romantically interested in him.
