I remember a while back reading either a /r/relationships post or an /r/amitheasshole post about a woman who brought some ice cream and a game or something over to her boyfriend's place one morning and caught him sleeping in bed with another woman.
She didn't wake him up or wait for him to wake up, she just left the gift on his kitchen counter and left.
I guess when he woke up he figured out she had been there and proceeded to try and call her and get in contact with her for a long time, but she never responded and ended up blocking him. She literally never spoke a word to him again. I think it drove the boyfriend nuts.
And you want to know what? A lot of people in the comments were mad at her. They thought she was being ridiculous by not confronting him and giving him a piece of her mind. People were actually angry that she thought it was better to just cut contact and walk away.
But she knew it was over and just wanted move forward and start the healing process. I wish I could find it again!
I was all for her method and I think I'd do the same. There is literally nothing to talk about with a person who would cheat on you or hurt you. Their action speaks way louder than any explanation they have. They have proven to you that they don't respect you and you're better off leaving them.
Men are really manipulative, so don't even give them the chance to "explain" themselves and try and talk you into staying.
Show them that you don't care what they have to say about it and choose yourself. How can a man respect a woman who doesn't respect herself enough to walk away?
They'll eventually get the message, but it'll drive them crazy first.
