I have 3 examples from different reddit using, RP men(more like wannabe red pill, but aren’t they all?). By the way, I never ended up sleeping with any of these men, though I continued to date them to see if their actions were consistent with their own facts they revealed about their character.

Example 1:

A few things he told me over months of conversation:

  • He “used” to want to have sex with a girl from every race.
  • He jokingly/ playfully mentioned his history of being “kind of a jerk” and losing interest after sex.
  • He broke up with his girlfriend because they were long distance and he wanted to be with someone he could sleep with.
  • He had been with 20-30 women
  • He had never had a long term / consistent source of sex (especially from the same woman), and he seemed excited to think this was in his near future
  • He’d say things like “no one is going to see us for weeks when we finally have sex”
  • He always assumed that I’d like pain and would bite my lips to the point of swelling
  • hed never been with a girl with “pink lips” before (he was Indian).

As it turns out, he’s incredibly insecure, jealous, manipulative and projects his sexual desires onto you. Mildly to moderately narcissistic. Probably still the most desirable of the 3 I’ll be speaking of today. A lot of him exposing himself and how he treats women was a result of his own attempt at “dread game”.

Example 2:

  • He had slept with over 40 women
  • He had never had a relationship longer than a year (early 30s)
  • He said he wasn’t attracted to ethnic girls
  • When talking about an ex he jokingly told me how she had no will power (not his words) and when ever she’d try and stick up for her self, he’d be like “no you won’t” and she’d eventually comply until one day she just ghosted / blocked him
  • empathized with an old narcissist that was verbally abusive when I worked for him because I said he deserved to be alone for treating people the way he does

Example 3:

  • he told me he thought it was funny to troll his recently out trans friend about biology ( I’m most gender critical when it comes to trans stuff, but I still thought it’s fucked up to bully/cut ties with someone because their existence personally disgusts you (his words)).
  • He never gave me a number, but said he’s had “so many night stands” with women that never wanted to see him again, so he stopped sleeping with them on the first night and they still never wanted to see him again lmao
  • encouraged me to watch Jordan peterson / Kathy Hughes video (which I actually thought JP make good points in the video, but it just shows where his views on women fall)
  • when we talked about r/niceguys he had trouble relating to the women’s frustrations and clearly (though not outright) empathized with the nice guys.

So I want to make it clear that w/o context and tone, it seems so obvious these are red flags, but conversationally, these men heavily downplay what they are saying by making it light hearted and laughing about it. Often, the point of their stories is not even to tell them their character flaws, but to let you know that they have other women that want them (dread).

During my time with them, the first two men displayed clear characteristics of narcissism, gaslighting, insecurity/jealousy, desire to control women, sexual obsessions, and potential for emotional and maybe even physical abuse (at least in the 2nd guy).

The 3rd guy wasn’t as bad and mostly just had a bunch of resentment towards women, but still not someone you could be happy dating.

Oh and they all wanted kids. Like very important to them, but continued to pursue a relationship with me despite my being clear on not wanting kids. A man that does that either does care about a future with you, or they believe they can change you.

What are your experiences with men telling you exactly who they are ?
