that's a heartbreaking story, but i am upset at how much OP is beating herself up for not listening to mark. saying she let herself get gaslit? so what are we supposed to do? listen to our boyfriends or not? damned if we do and damned if we don't. atleast mark wasn't a scrote about it and I hope they did press charges.

That comment calling her the villain is fucked up. She should have cut ties with both men immediately after since there was no way for her to know who did it at the time. And Mark should be understanding of that.

And the amount of guilt she's feeling is unfair too. She made the best decision she knew how to at the time.
