Just wondering, because I already checked the sidebar but only found advice for when it comes to initiating conversations, but not for in-between messages.

I'm 25 and have been in 2 long term relationships for the past 6 years, so when I recently started dating again (and utilising OLD apps for the first time) I felt a bit lost. Although following this sub religiously definitely helped and motivated me to date with standards and a purpose.

I'm currently seeing this really handsome, forthcoming and affectionate HVM and I want to make sure I'm doing everything right. I can already tell he likes me a lot but because we're both pretty introverted, independent, and reserved people I'm afraid of coming off as too strong and desperate. He did tell me that in the past he would usually be the one breaking things off when girls become too attached and demand things like marriage or his undivided attention. On the other hand though he is definitely starting to look for someone to settle down with and start a family.

One major green flag is that he describes himself as more conservative and family oriented, as well as both our sets of parents still being happily married and coming from an UMC household. (Unlike my ex's parents who were never married and didn't stay together for long, which might've contributed to us not working out)

In the beginning (about 3 weeks ago) we texted more sporadically, albeit consistently in-between dates (2 dates per week). Now it's pretty much every day at least 2 or 3 sets of messages in an ongoing conversation, and I try to wait at least half an hour, if not a couple hours in-between.

The truth is, I'm on my phone pretty much all day anyway, or at least have it near me when I actually do go out, but absolutely don't want to seem too available.

How do you guys handle it?
