Remind yourself that the attraction and feelings you have are (1) a normal biological mating hormone response to attraction (2) such attraction is fantasy projecting your wishes for what you hope he will be without actually knowing him (ugh hormones sometimes) (3) this man needs to prove himself over and over again to gain access to your time and attention (4) pay close attention to how your body feels during and after each conversation/date - any early signs of confusion or doesn’t quite sit well, trust your intuition and walk away early. Are you in this for the short term or the long haul? Seriously, before you even date decide this. If it’s the long haul, have a conversation with yourself.

Limit the alcohol to be in control of your inhibitions. Use a vibrator if you have to before the date. But don’t let yourself down, she’s counting on you. When I took my own needs into account, outside of my physical body, but my own life goals and plans, it became easy to do things in line with my life goals. And to really put myself first.

Again not putting my body, or pleasure sensations first, but me first. My dignity, respect, and need out of a partner.

Do the work, then date. You will only crumble time and time again if you don’t start the work first.

Always make a plan before the date!!

Imagine you're having a good time with a guy. You're a little tipsy. He invites you back to your place and you think why not, I like him. Next thing you know you're in his bed.

You have to decide beforehand: I will stick to 2 drinks. I will not go with him anywhere other than the restaurant. I will not go home with him. I will take an Uber home. Write it in your notes app if you have to!
