I’d show you the comment I was responding to, but he deleted it. Called out a misogynist and he wrote an essay in response.

When she found out his texts while they were engaged he told her “I’m broken”, that should’ve been her immediate exit but women are socialized to fix broken men whereas men are applauded if they leave a woman for daring to age or for making any kind of mistake.

Men who claim to be ridiculously vulnerable on a first date is a HUGE red flag. 🚩

A comment I read from a therapist has really struck me for people to be aware of. They noted it is NOT psychologically healthy for someone to “spill” all their life details and trauma early on in ANY relationship. Intimacy should be built.

So if you meet that new best friend who immediately spills all and you seem like you’re destined, or the colleague who instantly starts deep dive gossiping, or the date who tries to tell you all their backstory right away - trust me, in the long run, they will likely NOT be good for you. It should take at least 3-6 months to build intimacy and share more extensively about your life.

A man who says he is broken on the first date is trying to manipulate you.

Too true. We NEED to fight against the societal programming.

Wow I haven’t heard Anthony wiener name in such a long time. I was in high school (I think freshman yr) when the story broke and it open my eyes that men can be disgusting even past high school.

And to affect someone as important and influential as Huma Abedin — he singlehandedly dragged her career down and could have completely destroyed it. It really shows how LVM can destroy women’s lives in huge and irreparable ways, and it can happen to any woman no matter how smart she is. That’s why it’s so important that we learn how to protect ourselves and teach other women to do the same.

I agree. I actively didn’t want to know the woman’s name because I felt bad that she would be defined by this. Like Monica and Bill. Anita Hill and Clarence Thomas. The list goes on. I hope she keep pushing forward.

It was shocking to me because growing up, nudes were “a high school” thing. But seeing that on the news by a “civil servant” made me lose hope in men before high school ended.

"That same night that he says to you, 'I'm broken, I need you to fix me,' you also pick up his Blackberry?" asked O'Donnell.

"Yes."

"And what did you find?"

"I found a text from a woman, a very flirtatious text, from a stranger," Abedin said. "I was shocked. And I showed it to him right away and said, 'What is this? Can you explain this to me?' And he did: he was a public personality, and that people communicated with him all the time."

But as she writes in her memoir:

"In hindsight, it was a warning sign."

Girrrrrl like come on! 🚩

Wow! I didn’t know that he was her first serious relationship. I wonder if that attracted him to her, because he knew she was naive and might not spot his red flags.

Definitely another red flag, too. We need to train women to casually date so they can discern what is right for them. Men are much less programmed than women to be looking for their Prince Charming in anyone who shows them attention.

I think she’s Saudi Arabian, and so Weiner was a lame male colonialist that wanted to take advantage of a “submissive” Arab woman.

I dislike how a lot of conservative religions and cultures keep women from dating for a long time. So they’re like 35 and naive, don’t have any experience with men. And then look to settle down and pick shit because they never evolved, had time to learn discernment and red flags or what they don’t like

This is super common in religions and cultures that keep women locked down and innocent/ over sheltered for a long time. They then take the first completely flawed loser who crosses their path because they don’t know better

It creates a terrible disjunct where even brilliant women who or are otherwise fully developed elsewhere, boss bitches, with great careers who take no shit and are hard to pull one over on are complete idiots and fools in their dating and personal lives because they’re so damn underdeveloped there. At 35 they’re just now having the first little pop kiss and little dating experience most regular white kids have in 7th grade.

It just makes them naive prey because everyone’s so far advanced from them and romance wise they’re basically little kids in old adults bodies

Then of course they make mistakes and miss things any normal person wouldnt because they were locked up for so long. Which is understandable but not viewed with any sympathy/ basically viewed with contempt because everyone thinks your old ass ought to know better and rolls their eyes at how lame and stupid you are.

It leaves you in a tough spot- what I call (not unkindly)old and stupid. Naive and inexperienced yet too old for anyone to look at your naivete as being cute or forgivable or with anything but contempt, disdain and annoyance, because to their mind you should’ve been known. So it’s kinda sneered at like- OH, COME ON ALDREADY! 40 year old virgin vibes. Which is unfair to them

White kids are definitely not all “experienced at dating.” It’s a dangerous and often foreign idea that they are. They are some of the most sheltered.

That being said, the extreme sheltering of women is to keep them as stupid as possible to the LVM can use and abuse them. In the case of Arab (and Muslim) women, they like to keep them really naive so they’ll be super tolerant of NVM behavior.
