Don’t trust LVM ever.

I was very disturbed by a story someone posted here earlier this week, stating that she found out her LVM BF told her the rent was higher than it actually was... so she gave what she thought was half and he pocketed it, every month. She found out the truth by accident.

Please be aware of your finances.

LOOK at the BILLS and understand what’s happening.

So many women are trusting the wrong men and getting taken advantage of and even robbed, on top of being cheated on and given STDs (usually these are the same type of LVM / NVM guys).

When does it end?

I hope FDS is helping women regain their self respect, strength and self esteem needed to GET OUT of situations like this!

It’s why I’m feeling so grateful I realized all this before that I could get married and have babies, it scares me how bad she must be feeling :( and it’s why fds is important, also watch and read people who talk about it, grateful for those who talk about it even when people will criticize them and call gold-digger, they know it’s important to talk.... but “you can do it!”(even if it means sacrifice your health, Get crazy stressed, you can do it, do everything, just don’t be a gold-digger)

Honestly I feel that this sub could benefit from shared experiences on how to properly manage ones own finances. I’ve had immense trouble in the past figuring out how money works, how to save, and how to grow wealth. I just got a recent promotion with a raise and I would love to hear from those of you who are bad asses with their cash. Also I apologize if this comment doesn’t belong here since it is a sub about dating. The best advice my landlady gave me was ‘money is power. If you have it you’re safe.’ And I want all of you to have financial security!

There are so many subreddits that aren't directed against women but misogyny still occurs. I've see posts about rent and one guy suggested getting a girlfriend because it literally cut his bills in half and he basically has a live-in maid and cook. Then when someone suggested that he shouldn't expect her to pay half of the rent if she's doing all that he went "LOL but what about feminism? We're equal now". TOTALLY MISSING THE POINT.

The point he makes about how in a divorce the work at home is of equal value to the income earned at a job is very important. If you built your wealth whilst married and your spouse didn't work during that time but took care of the home and kids, then the wealth is split 50/50. What does this mean? This means: do not believe men when they try to downgrade what women bring to the table in terms of housework, child-rearing, emotional support etc. The law says otherwise. That's why these men's rights group are so pissed and rail against it. And this is why it's so important not to do wife shit unless you have a marriage license. Because when you do wife shit but you ain't a wife and you build that mfer up, when it ends you get nothing!!
