I think it's OK as long as we don't let our guard down and remain skeptical. If we believe what FDS says, that men know upon first sight, then this result is to be expected, true. But If they commit and then the real demons come out, cut and run. I think for most women the problem is that after initial commitment we have rose tinted glasses on so that's when we start letting them get away with shit because we've become emotionally invested too soon. Always remain emotionally distant during the beginning stages. Maybe even for the first year. Perhaps if we continue to implement fds, the predatory men who love bomb will still just weed themselves out when they see we still have boundaries after making it official.

I agree that this can be a huge red flag though. That was definitely the case in my last long term relationship. If i had dumped him when i saw other red flags, i could have avoided a lot of heart ache, but instead i became emotionally invested after that initial commitment so i let him walk all over me. Now i know what to do in the future.
