For reference, I dealt with an NVM, blocked and deleted it. Haven't spoken to the thing in months since starting my healing and level up journey.

I got invited to some group channel thing and had to download another messaging app.

Within 5 minutes of entering my number and info, I get a message. From it. Odd considering that the thing was blocked and deleted. I also made sure to delete past chats, phone logs, everything.

I found out that if the person has your number and has the app, they get notified when you join. It doesn't matter if you don't have their number saved. Thank you, Google.

I left it on read and also deleted the app because it freaked me out. It's a popular messaging app, so many of you might know which one I'm referring to.

Needless to say, I didn't feel anything towards it when I saw the message. I did get a good laugh though. It's a small victory, but it proves to me that the work I'm putting into myself is paying off. In the past, I would have answered it in 3 seconds and would have tried to convince it to pick me.

TLDR: I scored a small victory, am proud of myself, and didn't fall back to my pickmeisha ways.
