It’s such a good term. I haven’t gotten to the point where it comes out but I’ve started thinking it whenever I see long term couples w/no marriage.

I just used this term last night referring to myself. I explained to my bf that I am buying my own car because I need my own assets. I am twenty five and need to protect myself if we aren't getting married anytime soon.

He was frustrated and trying to convince me that I don't need my own car because he has two. I explained that nothing we share is in my name and I need to be more independent along side contributing to the household.

I'm projecting that I will be able to buy a $15,000 car outright in less than a year.
