Many women tend to conflate superficial personality traits (looks, career success, social skills, money, interests) with the quality of character (maturity, empathy, responsibility, honesty, reciprocity, consistency, reliability). Personality and character are two different things. Character comes first. If character isn't there, then personality means nothing in terms of a viable relationship.

I think the only thing we can do is gently but firmly call each other out when we see it. And try not to get defensive when others call us out.

If a man hasn't shown you consistent, high value behavior for at least six months, you can't even assume he's high value yet. A lot of these men can fake being great catches for at least three or more months. And some of them can keep it for a year or more. Never let your guard down.

HV is about behavior and character not income or looks because you can be good looking and complete trash. Of course looks matter you have to feel attraction to want to date somebody.

Yeah the posts talking about the 'hvm' are 9/10 super cringey. Someone being thoughtful/doing something nice for you one time in the beginning (or even doing things throughout the honeymoon period) does not a hvm make. And it honestly just helps lvm figure out the smokescreens they need to pull.

People need to earn a praise post. 5 normal, female focused comments before you can go on about how wonderful your Nigel is (which of course is a sneaky way of saying how smart you are for finding him).

Oxytocin is a drug, and often not a positive one. It creates living bonds but it also keeps women in toxic and abusive relationships. It also makes women more competitive and jealous for their SO or kids. This means when you are in love you want to show your SO off and tell everyone he's better than other men. We don't need to see the high from your hormone/drug usage, it's gross and embarrassing from the outside. Put that competitive energy into something useful instead like improving your work or home. Push your SO on to people in his career networking, not to strangers on the internet.

There is a learning curve. Even with doing all the preemptive reading and there is a lot, some ideals may not click, be remembered, over looked, whatever. I don't want to see women being cut down either though. She's here, she's trying, call her out and also remind her of her precious value.
