This is the rule that needs to be learned by ALL WOMEN. Stop getting emotionally attached to men who are not your boyfriend or your husband! You will wait to have sex but won’t wait to give away your heart? Throw all that emotional shit in the trash until he’s proved himself to you, committed to you, and shown you he wants to be with you for the long haul.

agree but it's easier said than done imo. i'm the type of person that gets attached easily, i know it's not the best thing for me but it just happens. it's not like i decide to attach myself and i'm struggling to rid myself of this trait

I never said it was easy love, but it must be learned. I did it, others can too. Women have been brainwashed to seek our love and romance by the media, so it’s especially difficult for us to be focused on what’s actually important in relationships and be logical and discerning.

You must be continually deciding not to attach yourself.
This kind of mental shift has to be proactive - it takes time for it to become natural. It's not easy, but simply saying "I don't like this deeply ingrained habit" isn't enough to cause a schema change - you've got to be actively challenging the associated feelings/ideas.
The video already recommended is a good resource.

Check out Greta high value woman on YouTube. She touches on this and how to overcome this.

This might be due to insecurity issues. You gotta work on yourself first before you go looking for company. It’s hard to be lonely sometimes. But being alone can also bring peace of mind.

Earned it, but also demonstrated that they value your trust and commitment.

And for gods sake don't have his baby till he's done all of the above 🤦♀️
I'm looking at you, 50% of the posters on relationshits. Contraceptives exist for a reason. Abortions exist for a reason. If he's sleeping with your mom and kicking your dog now, he'll get worse, not better after you're bound to him for life by a baby.
Babies trap the woman, not the man.

This. We all know how men can deadbeat or manchild their way out of fatherhood without an ounce of regret. At least they have to pay? Oh, don't worry, they find their way out of that too.

I absolutely hate how crushes are so romanticized in pop culture (at least in my experience in the US).
It was so mindboggling for me to read here in the beginning that crushes should be avoided. Like wait what??? “But it feels so good and fun and I can’t control it.”
But nope it’s just like any other feeling - you can control it - and too much of a good thing is a bad thing. The emotional equivalent of eating a whole cake - sure tastes/feels good but completely unhealthy.
