I had an old friend who has been dating this guy for 8 years. They were in a long distance “relationship” for the first 6 years. He would not claim her because she isn’t the most attractive by certain standards I guess. She moved to his city and he still didn’t claim her. His parents heard rumors that my friend moved to his city for him and asked if they were dating and he said no. Anyway a year after she moves to his city she gets pregnant by him. He waits all the way until the 7th month of pregnancy to finally tell his family. And they were all shocked because he said he wasn’t dating her all this time. Lol and now they live together taking care of the baby. Still a forever girlfriend. And it took this much just to say that they were dating. Ladies pls don’t settle. Whatever your traumas are .. please heal them before looking towards a man.

Too many women still refuse to believe that a majority of men will take female sexual service and emotional labor even when he doesn't feel attracted to her.

For men being wanted and taken care of by a woman who isn't their first or 10th choice beats being alone hands down.

Men see us as disposable, that's why they have no issue with these situationships, they know they will drop it the second they find the one they want. And believe me, he will continue seeking on dating apps and flirting offline while he is with his situationship.

They will also accept a girlfriend if that is what it takes to keep her pleasing him and taking care of him. He will continue seeing her as disposable and will continue looking for the one he actually wants.

Then they get to 50 and realize the woman who stuck by their side through infidelities, neglect and psychological erosion was actually the best woman they could get.

I bet that guy wasn’t such a looker himself. The amount of men I have know that put themselves down as “athletic” when they are skinny fat at best is ridiculous. They complain about women marking down “curvy” when they are bigger ladies, but do the same crap themselves.

Men overestimate their appearance, and women underestimate theirs.

I think I was victim of the opposite of this, my ex husband talked about me being one of the hot girls at school but I don't think he was ever really attracted to me himself, he just knew other men considered me attractive and wanted to impress other men. Men will use you for all manner of things whether they think your attractive or not, but they are more concerned if their friends or family find you attractive by conventional/media standards, so you can be used as a status symbol or trophy wife and they may not even fancy you, it's just for show.
