I realize that since blatantly hating on women has become less politically correct, 1000000s of misogynists have simply flocked towards neurotically policing women over mostly imagined microaggressions like this. So, a woman can ask for a small, simple party...a literal narc can ignore her request and force on her an insane party full of people she doesn't care about....and the entitled woman haters will go, "oop! She did a booboo! She can NEVER be pleased! Will is just an ANGEL BABY! How dare she hurt him!"

It goes to show how many eyes are on women when they receive anything from a man. Eyes that are watching her for any sign of ungratefulness to rip her apart for. And, let me say, it's extremely creepy and is another proof of how women are oppressed. So many women live with the fear of being rebuffed if they aren't happy with something that ignores their humanity and individuality...and of course the male hivemind will stop at nothing from acting like a stern woman that refuses to clap and laugh through her suffering is the pinnacle of evil.

Oh reddit will spin anything as long as they can find a woman to blame. Will Smith smacked a man, the blame is on him, but reddit quickly blamed his wife instead. Clearly men cannot be held responsible for their actions.

And the fact that before all of this (and the ‘entanglement’ scandal which helped build up to this I guess) Jada was seen as one of the Madonnas, similar to how Ayesha Curry was also propped up for being the perfect wife archetype until she wasn’t, for her “don’t get attention anymore” comments.

Just goes to show they can only see women in black and white. No room for a middle ground, you’re either The Perfect Wife tm or a only good for the streets wh0r3. That’s probably why so many 1950s wives popped pills because it’s like one small mistake and you’re suddenly the WORST EVIL WIFE EVER. We never moved past the Scarlet Letter level treatment for women.

And I don’t particularly like Jada or think she’s nice, I have my doubts about her, but, there’s no denying how unfair it is to be blamed over something that happened between two men. Even if it was “over her.” It’s ridiculous since it literally was Will who committed assault.

It’s definitely a case study in the pervasiveness of our cultural misogyny if you ask me.
