Hi everyone! Long time admirer of all the queens of this sub, first time poster.

When it comes to online dating, I feel like it is so easy for men to waste our time. Most of the people I have matched with go straight to asking me out for a date without any previous substantial conversation. So for this reason, I ask them certain questions about politics, what they think about feminism, etc.

Sometimes they think it’s weird that I’m asking them all these questions but I try to be honest and I’ll straight up tell them I’ll only go on a date if they answer a few questions beforehand.

And the thing I have noticed is the confidence and the audacity of these men. Not one of them has ever lied to appease me and tried to act like something they are not. Especially when it comes to feminism, they straight out say that they think it’s bullshit or whatever (lol) and I tell them no and unmatch because they tend to whine and whinge if I try to explain why I won’t go on a date with them.

I feel like this is something that we can learn from them, they never ever feel like they have to be something they are not, even when they are interested in you and competing against hundreds of other men. This was a lightbulb moment for me to be assertive and open about my views, and to never try to downplay myself for anyone.

So my question is, do you do anything like this? What kind of questions do you tend to ask if you do?
