I met this guy on OLD back in Nov and we've been in touch non-stop since then, texting on most nights. We've been on 6 multi-activity dates (dinner + something else) which he mostly paid for. He lives more than an hour away so he'd drive over, pick me up then drop me back at the end of each date, and drive back, often very late in the night. We only kissed on the 4th date.

The only thing that was off was the fact that he sulked for a couple of days when I declined to go out on a date he confirmed too late (I posted about that before). He apologized profusely for that and told me that he did so because he felt rejected and wanted to take a step back. We got over that and things resumed as they were.

I told him expressly that I did not want to be played around with. He assured me that it was not his intention and pleaded me to believe he genuinely likes me.

So far he's been respectful, attentive and showed initiative in planning our dates, sometimes asking me out for the next as we were on the current ones. He even enquired about whether I was free on Valentine's as he wanted to take me out then.

Fast forward a couple of dates. I invited him over on Sat for dinner at my place. I know this is against FDS rules as it hasn't been 90 days yet, but we slept together and he ended up staying over the whole weekend. As he was leaving, he asked if he could see me again next week and I said yes.

I've made strides since I joined this sub, but this is where my pickmeisha reared her ugly head again. I texted him Monday evening and he responded super quickly, as usual, saying he was under the weather. We exchanged a few texts, I wished him a speedy recovery and left it at that. I also intend to not reach out again until he does.

I know it's only been a day...and maybe this is a remnant from past experiences, but can't shake the feeling I've been played again.

Am I reading too much into it?

If I'm not. Is this salvageable?

Is there anything I should or should not do?

Edit/P.S: Thanks, beautiful ladies! You're helping me keep my composure. So grateful for this sub 💗
