There was this guy that I met at a party, we had a fun conversation and he flirted hard but I did not reciprocate because I knew that he's a player and I'm not looking for a casual hookup thing. After that night, he continued flirting and asked me out. I said I didn't feel the same way towards him and don't want to lead him on. He was nice about it and said he understood and took it very maturely (or so I thought).

Couple weeks later I find out from a mutual friend that he told her that I kept asking him out and he said no because he did not have feelings for me. I was upset but also sad because this has happened to me before in the past with guy friends, and I genuinely thought that he was mature.

Anytime I see him in person, he acts friendly and asks to hang out with me. But since I heard about the lies he's spreading, it makes me furious and I really want to confront him about it. Should I do it? Or should I ignore it and not give him the idea that I care about what he has to say?
