Move on and don’t worry about him unless he makes the effort for a date. Don’t let him hold you up from meeting other men. You aren’t exclusive with him, and FDS encourages us to be open to dating multiple men at once.

I do like him and he’s a nice guy. I think part of it is also he’s kinda shy but I like being the woman and letting the man take change when it comes to pursing

Maybe give it until a certain date and if still nothing then it sounds like he’s stringing you along and it’s time to move on. Also until he firmly sets a proper date, keep your options open, it’s very early days. Good luck! ♥️

Thanks. I’m definitely open to dating more people but I’m sick of online dating and I don’t want to go out with finding a new guy being my intention

Yes but my advice is never let on you any male that you are sick of online dating, otherwise they will use that against you, this sounds bad but the more they feel disposable, the more they will work harder to stay in your heart. That’s what males do to women anyway. Don’t feel bad for protecting yourself either

That’s true. I did let on to him that I do spend time with other people (even though I don’t lol) and he seemed a bit jealous.

Nice one sister

He didn't reschedule. I would just delete the number and stop texting. It's a dead end.
That doesn't mean anything bad about you or that you're the problem. It just means he isn't willing to invest time into you, so don't invest time or thought into him.
Your right. I think I’ve been holding on because I met him through a mutual friend that had nothing but great things to say. He may be great but just doesn’t seem that interested

Your right. I mentioned to someone else he is kinda shy so I’m not sure if that is playing a part but I don’t want to be a text buddy

Don't remind him and see if he bothers to organise another date. If he remembers to organise one, then he probably cares about you.

Should I keep texting him? I think honestly I’ve initiated conversation twice so he’s been consistent on that part. I overthink too much and I don’t want to look annoying

I would encourage you to not worry about how you think you appear to him (for example, annoying). Instead, concern yourself with how YOU feel. When a man is interested in you, you WILL feel it. You will know it. It will be obvious and undeniable. You will feel secure and know where you stand with him because he will show it. This applies to all men, including shy men. Worry less about his shyness and his schedule and his perceptions, and much, much more about how you feel in this situation. If it doesn’t make you feel good, drop it and walk away.

If he ever uses the word “busy”, dump him. The word busy is ALWAYS code word for him being not that invested in you. If he really wanted to date you he would have set a time and day already

Your right. I’m not gonna contact anymore. I’ve seen men make time in any circumstance.
[–]sleepysiriFDS Newbie 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
If he wanted to, he would.
Amen
[–]azureangel35FDS Apprentice 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
yes, you should. if he wanted to date you he would make an effort. I'm not trying to be harsh but you need to read the handbook. it's already giving you anxiety. dating should be fun and stress free, not an anxious session of second guessing yourself.
