She would serve herself best and her child best by leaving now. Post partum with an unsupportive "partner" (for lack of a better word) is more difficult than it is single. No one expecting anything of you besides your infant. No one trying to demand or coerce you into any sexual activity before your body is ready to receive that (let alone while you have a low libido). No one expecting you to cook or clean for them, emotionally and sexually support them. No one there to be jealous of the time, effort, and attention you are devoting to this brand new human that you grew inside of your body. No one putting her down and expecting her body to look as if it didn't just grow a whole human for several months.

I’m consistently horrified by men’s response to pregnancy. What the ever loving fuck do they think happens during pregnancy???? They all seem to think that the baby pops out of nowhere like this is The Sims. Your wife’s body will permanently change, as will her sex drive and both of your lives??? And they’re somehow surprised by this?

Showing such a strong requirement for body size is a red flag. Bodies will change over time, especially if you plan on having children. Even with consistent effort, your body will change. A man who expects his wife to stay looking like a lean 20 something forever is a very naive man indeed.

This works in both directions btw. I've seen a lot of women become single after losing a lot of weight.

It's really hard to believe this guy was an amazing prince beforehand and her pregnancy turned him into a class-A fuckwad overnight. 99.9% of the time, the signs are there from the beginning, but the woman chose to ignore them.

I'm thin and have always been thin, but I wouldn't be impressed with a guy who told me he hates fat people and was constantly harping on body size. We all have our preferences but that kind of talk is cruel and unnecessary. Odds are this guy was a flaming ass from day one but she was so desperate to get married and have a child, she blew it right off. And now she's stuck. And worse, she's inflicted him on an innocent child. 🙄

This same dude will dump her for a younger chick when she starts showing wrinkles and grey hair I promise this isn’t the end for him. He will “upgrade” in a few years I see it everyday, basically.
