I see this so much here! When getting to know a man, you should never express any emotion besides genuine happiness, playfulness or indifferent politeness. You should radiate stability and confidence. Any other emotion is vulnerability and that is UNSAFE with a man that is not your boyfriend!! When a man disrespects you, or asks for a netflix and chill date, DO NOT RESPOND and express disapproval. You don't have time for that. He doesn't matter. In fact, (ideally in actuality, but you should act like it regardless), he didn't even upset or annoy you, bc you're in control of your emotions and a lvm does not effect your emotions in any way shape or form. He is nothing. You aren't disappointed, you don't care. "But I gave him the perfect witty comeback to show him I'm worth more!" No. No you didn't show him that. 99% of the time you showed him he got to you-I've seen some badass exceptions-but block immediately after! I've seen a lot of women express to him their annoyance that he's not offering you on a real date. And why? Who is he? Why would you want that when there's a billion other guys who will? Not responding is the most powerful, Queen response you can give. Let him figure out what happened all by himself. Do NOT give him an ego boost by pushing back and telling him it's unacceptable. Under no circumstances should you ASK for a dinner date. That is trashy and bad etiquette. The standard advice is to not respond AND immediately block. Personally, I don't in this situation. I give them two chances. Example: They invite you on a low effort date. Zero response from you. If he responds by getting butthurt at being ignored, block, again, under no circumstances respond. If he responds by figuring it out and stepping up with an apology and an offer for a real date? Up to you. Personally, I might accept after leaving him on read for a while and I'd also be busy for the next few weeks. Bc hopefully he learned something important about me and it's possible he'll continue to act accordingly. I don't even mention the 1st trangression bc obviously he knows. I'm wary tho. If he fucks up again before he gets to bf status, 2 strikes you're out. Don't grace a lvm with a response he doesn't deserve.
Side note regarding OLD: You're much more likely to inspire a real date if you spend a week talking and face time a few times. It's very unusual for a man to see a photo of a stranger, maybe small talk then pull out all the stops for her, and if he does he's manipulating you and may be dangerous. For this reason, if we have not spoken more than one day then I do the 30 min lunch meet-classy lunch place, or a maybe a 20-30min coffee meet. Both of these are done on my actually breaks during the day. No weekends and I don't get all done up for them, no inconvenience for me. Wealthy guys offer a lunch meet more often than coffee. In my personal experience, they plan romantic elaborate 1st dates after meeting me and that continues while dating. Honestly I've only had two men invite me to their homes after a meet. Zero response, block.
He's either inspired to fall all over himself to impress you or he isn't. If not, move on immediately. Again, do not respond. And this goes for anything, not just a date, weirdly asking you for favors? No response. Being sexual in text or online? No response-and immediately block, no 2nd chances with this type. Lots of screenshots of convos with lvm. Why is it a conversation? He should be talking to himself bc he's blocked. You shouldn't give any attention to lvm the minute they reveal themselves. Plus reading all the posts here about the lvm online creates a false sense of "omg they're all degenerate!" to women reading FDS. They're not, the degenerates are simply posted here constantly.
Also, I'm not saying you should pretend to be happy and stable at all times for a man. But you shouldn't let your guard down and embrace and express every emotion. That should only happen around people who've earned your trust. You should create a life in which you are actually happy and stable and have high self esteem because you actually earned that high esteem. You're confident because you're amazing and any guy would be lucky to have you and you know it! Level up. Go visit the sister subs. You are not desperate, you don't need to train any man, you can block them because hvm are all around and you can simply date them instead. Abundance mentality! Have you have ever been around that person that just lights up a room? You have fun and feel more positive every time you're with them? Be this person. When you're dating, every interaction should make him want more. He'll see you're happy, fulfilled, and have an interesting life and he'll want to be a part of it. He will feel good every time he thinks of you, because all interactions have been positive. Once you're exclusive he will appreciate the vulnerable side to you much, much more and have empathy for it. He won't view you as petty or over-emotional so when you are emotional he takes you seriously. This is what I mean by saying only show positive emotions during the dating period. If he makes you anything other-no response, block. An obvious exception is an unintended and understandable blunder on his part that should be corrected quicky and without emotion and he should genuinely apologize. If he's full of these blunders? Pass, who wants to someone socially clueless.
[ ] One more thing: what is overlooked here often is this (it's in the handbook but not discussed) in order to attract a hvm, you must be a hvw. Period. A hvw will attract lvms but you will filter them quickly using FDS. A lvw can attract a hvm initially. But he will filter her when he really gets to know her. Become your BEST self. Go to therapy if needed. Have a strong morality. Get hobbies. Travel. Become interesting. Make friends with interesting people. Don't date unless you're ready. Hvw are similar to hvm in that it isn't about being rich or the most beautiful or the most educated. It doesn't matter, it's about character and personality. It's about kindness and positivity. I've seen women here that are clearly abusive toward men. Those narcissistic women will attract lvm or men with very low self esteem who are easily controlled. A women like that, or one that's full of unresolved trauma and negativity won't get past the 1st 3 months. Be a great partner and wife to the man that deserves you.
Yes, you are the receiver while dating and you are his prize. And then I'd say it's about 60-40 in your favor during the relationship and 50-50 in a marriage, not counting periods where you may have to give more while he's sick, or temporary down, and vice versa. That's the reality of marriage, although I believe in romance being maintained and to me that is the man's role, e.g I'd like my husband to plan dates for us. I love surprising a hvm occasionally, but while he still maintains the male role as provider, protector and pursuer
