Hi wonderful people,

I could really use some advice/discussion on this. I seem to really attract teasing from men, and sometimes I can't tell the difference as to whether they are teasing or negging me. I also had a realisation that I don't like it even if it is teasing, if in their immature minds it is "just for fun".

I am a peaceful introverted person who can be loud and fun around good friends. Sometimes I think I am an easy target. Yesterday I was at a gathering and there were two men who were teasing me. They have done this before. They are in their early 30's. Both are LVM, no goals. I was talking to the mother of one of the guys (it was a gathering with family members) and they were at the same table and were copying and mimicking what I was saying. Everything in their behaviour was based around winding me up. This type of thing happens to me a lot, where men are condescending and tease me. I have decided to not put myself in this situation again and won't be visiting these people. I sometimes wonder if it is due to the fact that I have almost finished my degree and I have goals, and it makes them feel inferior? One of them doesn't work and is a mommy's boy. They laugh and copy off what I say and try to find anything they can to make me sound stupid. And even when I express I don't like it, or even say something back it ramps up their teasing. I'm frustrated and find this happens a lot. Any tactics to deal with this? I know it's might not exactly be an FDS type post, but I feel having tactics to deal with this will help me in life when I want to meet the right men that do not get off on teasing me.

EDIT: I just got a pm, obviously from a man, saying I am being too sensitive. Typical attempt to invalidate a woman's feelings.
