I think the first step to truly liberating yourself as a woman is realizing that marriage and children are simply your willful resignation to servitude until death. The clinical reality needs to be accepted. Marriage, children, husbands, etc. have all been romanticized. Don’t buy the Disney-bullshit propaganda.

Edit: Also, I’d like to add that a LTR can result in a similar outcome. Your best bet at happiness as female is achieving solid financial independence (i.e. having a well-paying job or career) and emotional independence (mental and emotional stability, strong friend group, fulfilling hobbies, not needing a man, but accepting one that is high-value being an accessory to your life and not fretting about dropping him the moment he disrespects you or stops demonstrating value).

You gain "legitimacy" as a woman. From the perspective of a woman who has never been married and above 40 even divorced dudes on OLD view it as a gauge of success. Marriage is an industry. An industry needs to survive. Dangling a "I get to be a princess" party for women is a marketing technique. Western culture thrives on soulmate bullshit. Some other cultures view it as a way consolidate resources not because god willed it, or they're your twin flame, or they just give good dick. Getting married doesn't make you successful any more than signing up for a T-mobile contract makes you successful.

Honestly I think women would be a lot happier forming family groups with several other women, raising children in that environment if that's important to them, and only consorting with men for relationships that never end in cohabitation and/or marriage. A few months back I read an article about 8 Chinese women polling their money together and buying a huge mansion in China, and I hope more women consider it going forward. It's a shame that the nuclear family is so ingrained in our societal psyche, because women get the short end of the stick there. We need alternatives.

Also, I believe that, if we ever get to a point where sexbots become a thing that's available to the masses, it will divide men and women in a fundamental way, irrevocably. Because why would men ever bother with a real woman if they can just get a "perfect" AI girlfriend that's programmed to be subservient? That can be used and abused without repercussions? Bonus points if it can double as a maid. I don't know how far away we are from that, but if it's possible to create a sexbot, men will create them eventually. I weep for the coming generations of women.

I don’t want to have kids because i’m an antinatalist and kids annoy me. I don’t want to get married because most men are terrible humans, and i think marriage is an unrealistic, outdated institution. Does that mean i have leverage over men?

It would be nice to not give a fuck. I have a college degree and a career. I never wanted those things though; even when I was a kid and people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up I always said stay at home mom. My parents would straight up tell me, you can be anything you want when you grow up except for that. I went to school and got a job because I felt like I had to; I had absolutely no idea how to find a husband so that didn’t even seem like an option even though it’s what I wanted.

Now I’m ok with where I’m at, I make decent money and I basically just do whatever I want most of the time with very few responsibilities. It’s not a bad life. I would love to get married and raise some kids though.

The thing is that these days most guys expect that even if they marry a woman and have kids, the woman is going to keep working and bringing home a paycheck that is more or less equal to his. I’m like, who is taking care of all this extra work that came with these kids? Usually the woman is expected to do the bulk of it. It sounds like a nightmare. Go to work all day, then come home and have to take care of kids, cook for them, clean after them, do mountains of laundry, answer all their questions, wake up with them in the middle of the night, then 6 am rolls around and you have to wake up and do it all over again.. then you put on weight because of stress and no time for exercise or self care, and you’re too exhausted to have sex, then your husband cheats on you or just starts treating you like shit. Fuck all that. If I’m having kids it will be as a sahm or not at all. I’m not doing two full time jobs.

But to get back to the topic of OP, yeah, you’re right. Outside the scenario of a guy marrying me and supporting me as a sahm, I have zero use for men.

Yesterday we thought that getting married and being submissive would bring us happiness. Today we think that working long hours at office, and then at a lonely homeand will bring us happiness.

Live as you want to, but don't tell others that will be oppressed if they don't do what you want to. Everyone is happy in their own way.

Btw, a man that does little to none of the emotional or child labor is not a "high value" man.
