You’re better off being single than having to put up with a man who treats you like that. As he is right now, he’s not adding value to your life, he’s not even being neutral to it. In fact, he is detracting value from your life.

Read Lundy Bancroft ‘Why does he do that’. It’s abusive behaviour. My fiancé did this too and I didn’t really mind the silent treatment because I didn’t recognise it as abusive. It doesn’t feel ‘that bad’ compared to physical violence, yelling or other obvious abusive behaviour. It will eventually lead to worse things tho.

While you’re at it, read the handbook. He’s the definition of a NVM.

The silent treatment is an emotionally abusive manipulation tactic. It usually doesn't get better from there. At least you'll have the knowledge to recognize this red flag in the future because adults don't act like this, children do.

Nope he knew you wanted him to text you, call etc. The whole argument was about talking to you in a healthy manner (it starts by talking). Gurl I, too, didn’t realize how LV is the silent treatment. You say he’s being manipulative in other ways and I’m sure of it, hence the s treatment. It’s easier said than done yet I can assure you that if you don’t drop the man he’ll do worse stuff. Don’t bother explaining anything. He already knows how to act in adults’ relationship but he prefers a gf who’ll put up with bad treatment. That’s not going to be you!
