I've talk a bit about my relationship with a guy in the military, and how they were manipulative to try to get me to stay. This article is was really helpful in explaining that kind of relationship, i.e. trauma bonding. For those of you who might be lurking and are in a relationship with a guy in the military, this article talks about how the military itself uses trauma bonding to make soldiers (male or female) more loyal and dedicated to the military and their unit. It doesn't need to just be a romantic relationship, it can be a friend, family member, or even a professional relationship.
