I like watching true crime (though I need some breaks in between for the sake of my mental health) and I now have the habit watching for the red flags in the intimate partner murders. Everything we preach here on FDS reduces (though not fully eliminates) the chances of being murdered by a partner or ex partner.

I wish I could watch true crime as I feel like we can learn a lot from it; I find it too triggering though as so many true crime docs are done in a weird male gaze way that sexualises the rape/murder of women. So I like seeing breakdowns like this on FDS because it means I don't have to watch myself to get the learning tips

You had me at video games 6-10 hours a day. That’s insane. Like reading that to myself, I think it’s outrageous but this isn’t that uncommon. I recently met a young married woman who makes great money in pharma while her husband stays home and plays video games in the beautiful apartment she pays for (it’s partially subsidized through work). I came over and he’s just talking on his headset like we aren’t there. I don’t know why women stay with men like that. He’s 39.

Thanks for sharing this video. What strikes me the most is a) his delusional parents and b) him making the sad face AFTER he admitted to everything I exchange for a Xbox. It's probably the first time he didn't get away with his shitty behaviour.
