There is full frontal male nudity in the show too, from human and host characters. The sexual abuse themes are not there for gratuity, they are carefully written to make the audience question themselves.

I don't personally have a problem with this show.

Its been awhile since Ive watched Westworld so bear with me, but from what I remember they use nudity to dehumanize the robots and to make people ask questions. This dehumanizing is part of the themes of the show and the questions they want you to ask. Is a robot a human? at what point is treating the robots like this ok or not ok? Does sentience exist, and would that change anything? They also use it to point out how some patrons do not care about any of this and go through the park raping, killing, and doing whatever they want. I do not remember these people ever being shown in a particularly a good light, only pointed out that these people are seeing things on a very shallow level. That being said, it can be extremely off putting.

Personally, I would see this as a yellow flag. It's more important WHY your boyfriend loves the show. Does he like the violence, boobs, and depravity? Is he rooting for the woman that is trying to escape? Or does he like and appreciate the themes of good and evil, Sentience vs. humanity?

I would ask him if he were to go to Westworld in real life If he would go black hat, or white hat. (My LVM ex always said black hat, I should've known.)

I honestly love this show and my best male friend is a hvm and the sweetest person ever and loves the show too. As the other commenter said it’s important to know WHY.

Many of us love some pretty depraved shit honestly when it comes to shows. Breaking Bad. Handmaid’s Tale. To name a couple more. I don’t think liking a show in and of itself is a red flag unless you are very religious or something and plan to have a home without such influences. Then it just wouldn’t be a good match.

Westworld is definitely a rough watch and not for everyone but for me I think it’s just so well written and the acting is incredible. I actually need to dive back in and watch the new season.

It's a complicated show. Lisa Loy is a producer of it. Most of the protagonists are female. Most men don't get how the show berates their lower instincts.
