Hey guys, I've been learning FDS since December and it's pretty much changed my life completely for the better. I'm still confused on what I should expect of a man in terms of providing for me...Financial stability is something that is mentioned a lot but I'm not sure I understand it fully well. I was hoping for some clearance since there are some aspects of my relationship that I'm not so sure of.

If you're living apart: How does he fulfill the provider role? I've read threads here where women ask about gifts or if the man should help pay bills and the comments assimilate it to being in a sugar daddy relationship. So if it's not those, what does providing look like? Is it just the occasional gifts and dates?

If you're living together: I know FDS doesn't believe in 50/50 so what does this mean if you both have jobs and no children together? Who pays rent? utilities? groceries? What makes him a provider in this case? Let's assume both earn a similar amount and there's no a huge discrepancy in salary (in which case I'd assume if he outearns by a lot he would pay most bills?).

I know FDS isn't some hivemind and everyone has different opinions but I'd love to hear what you all think. I get a little confused sometimes between where to draw the line in my expectations from provider -> sugar daddy.
