I was just writing this out as a comment in a different thread but thought it deserved it's own post because it's rare to see HV examples and I personally always like to see them here to remind us all that the world of men isnt entirely bleak.

i started working in music when I was a teenager and over the years I've interacted with lots of famous and semi famous people (mostly comedians) at shows. I never liked any of the men. They keep the stereotype alive that celebrities are narcissists with big egos and that famous men use status to manipulate girls. Zach always stood out to me though as being out of the ordinary.

He came to a lot of dyi punk type venues back in the day (at least 10 years ago). My first interaction with him I had no idea who he was but there was a guy flirting with me (I was underage) and Zach (and his friend Neil, I don't remember his last name but he worked in entertainment too and was equally thoughtful) immediately called the guy out, embarrassed him and wouldn't let it go until he left me alone. I really appreciated it because literally none of the other adults gave a flying fuck about that kind of stuff back then (I was harassed A LOT as a teenager in those environments but didn't have the life experience to understand what was going on or the words to express why it made me uncomfortable). He also remembered my name and came back to sympathize with me and give me a little pep talk about it all where he warned me about older men and safety and everything. I didn't know who he was at the time but he got super famous around then so I eventually obviously recognized him afterwards and have seen him many times over the years. Always remembered my name and little details, but not in a showy, overly charming way (he's very quiet and low key). Haven't seen him in a long time but I know a lot of people who have interacted with him and had the same experience as well. He's kind, generous and respectful and he's like that with EVERYBODY equally. Has a long time wife and kids too, and doesn't act like a creep around women, speaks respectfully about his family.
