Oh, I didn't need to read the comments to see how incredibly biased the entire talk was, from the moderator to the audience to Roxanne herself.

"Hating men is a perfectly reasonable thing to do." "Who cares about facts and evidence? There's a pay gap!" "Teach men not to rape!"

"Language matters" except when it's misandric.

"It's imperialistic to say, 'Look at that culture and it backwards ways.'" Except if you're talking about female foeticide.

What a fucking hypocrite.

I could only stomach the first 20 minutes or so. The only the thing that kept me watching for that long was everything Sommers said, but then I remembered that you can get that directly without having to listen to the rest of that other woman's drivel.

For all that is holy, have you ever seen a more pseudo-intellectual, weasel-wordy person than her? The biggest facepalm for me was when she downplayed the oppression of Islam but then turned around and said that we have the same thing here, only it isn't encoded in Sharia law (which is a paradox, Sharia law IS what we're talking about, its kind of the whole thing).

So...you don't want to fight against it over there, but you do want to fight it here where you think it IS happening? So are you against misogynistic oppression, or only when you think (falsely) that it affects you personally? And, as if you wanted to look even more ridiculous, lets not forget that it isn't actually even happening here in the first place.

These are the lengths one must go to somehow bullshit their way into being able to complain about shirts and video games while women are being beaten and enslaved in other countries.

I am starting feel like Christopher Hitchens did about religion, only in regards to women like her that perpetuate misandry whilst also not only not doing anything for women, but actively setting them back. And like he Hitchens said about religion, people like her deserve to be ruthlessly mocked and ridiculed. I wish we still had someone like him around who could bluntly state the obvious.
